The process for valuations involves the primary evaluation by our gemmologist followed by our in-house research and evaluation. You will receive the appraisal within 1-7 days.
Valuations may take from one day to one week (however may be completed sooner depending upon the queue ahead of you. At the time of your appointment, we will check the condition of all your jewellery items and give you a job receipt). We will then proceed to clean and polish the jewellery items, value each piece and inform you immediately the job is finalised. ?
The cost is usually $65 -$150 per item and varies dependent on the intricacy of each piece of jewellery. If you have multiple pieces you must set up an appointment for valuation
Pricing is determined by the complexity of valuation. Type of customer.
We charge a fixed price per item and not a percentage of final price.
Clients will be charged for the time and professional services involved.
Pricing can range from a fixed quote per individual item, services by the hour, or may be for a contracted amount based on an estimate of the time involved.
Once JVL have viewed the item, and determined client needs, a clear quote and timeframe for collection will be provided.

Express: same day or while you wait (by appointment only)
Standard service
Your jewellery and watches will be valued with in 2-7days (5 days working days) and by appointment within the same day.
Express service
We require at least 3 working days to complete the testing . This does however depend on the workload. We will contact Clients if it seems likely that more then standard 5 working days will be required to perform all analyses. An expression service (turn around with in two working days) is offered against payment of a supplementary fee.
Quantity discounts may be available for larger collections or updating existing valuations
